Inspired by the tales told by Dave Kirby in his book “Those were the days”. A story detailing some of the events in the 1974 FA Cup final season, in which many reds fought tooth and nail for the pride of Liverpool and our football club. Tales of the fan culture back then, the boot boys, Liverpool aggro and the joys of following the reds around the country.
This was ongoing for years, and if you speak to any reds in their 50s/60s they’ll all have their own tales to tell. My dad has loads and speaks of those days with nothing but fondness and joy. Used to hear him singing “Doing the Liverpool boot walk” around the house. Still does today.
If you know, you know …
